When gingerbread mixes with citrus, what a delight! A melting dessert recipe easy to make.

  • For 6 persons :
  • 1/2 jar of jam Duo Oranges and Mandarines Bonne Maman
  • 250g of flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 250 g brown sugar
  • 5 g cinnamon powder
  • 5 g of four-spice powder
  • 2 g powdered ginger
  • 160 g of liquid honey
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 250 g of butter

Preheat the oven to 180 °. Melt butter in a bain-marie or microwave.

In a salad bowl, mix the flour, yeast, brown sugar and powdered spices. Add the honey and then incorporate the yolks and the whole eggs one after the other. Pour over the melted butter and mix gently.

Pour half of the dough into a cake pan.

Add the jam on top. Cover with the remaining dough.

Bake the cake and lower the temperature of the oven to 150 ° C. Cook for about 1 hour (check the cooking with the tip of a knife: it must remain dry). Let cool before unmolding.

The cake can be decorated with icing and orange zest.
